JoAnna on “Gossip Girl”!

And you thought Nate Archibald was privileged before.
Sources confirm that Joanna Garcia, star of The CW’s axed-too-soon Privileged, has booked a four-episode arc on Gossip Girl as a love interest for Chace Crawford’s affluent alter ego.
Garcia will play Bree Buckley, an irreverent, slightly evil Miss America-type who hails from a conservative Southern family. She’ll first appear in the Sept. 14 season premiere.
Props to The CW for knowing a good thing when they see it!

Privileged Officially Canceled

The CW will not be renewing Privileged for a second season. There was talk of a possible midseason berth for the much-loved dramedy, but, ultimately, the show was a casualty of the network’s strong development. “It’s truly heartbreaking,” series creator Rina Mimoun said via e-mail. “I’m so grateful to everyone out there who supported our little show and fell in love with Megan Smith. She was the most delightful character I’ve ever had the pleasure to write and watching JoAnna Garcia bring her to life every day was a gift I will never forget. I’m incredibly proud of the work we did and forever indebted to all the fans, critics and to Warner Bros. for being so wonderful and supportive. I will miss this more than you know.” Class act, that one.

JoAnna cast in 2 TV Pilots

With “Privileged” sitting on the bubble for renewal, star Joanna Garcia isn’t leaving her small-screen future entirely in The CW’s hands.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garcia will take guest roles in NBC’s untitled Justin Adler comedy project and in FOX’s “Cop House.” The trade paper says that both pilot roles were originally written as regulars.
The Adler comedy focuses on adult siblings and their domineering mother. Garcia will play the shy wife of the middle sibling (”Smallville” veteran Michael Rosenbaum). Also new to the cast are Jill Clayburgh and Henry Winkler as the main characters’ mother and father.
In “Cop House,” the Brett Ratner-directed comedy about a halfway house for cops, Garcia will play the title residence’s psychologist.
Both comedies would obviously be in second position for Garcia’s services behind “Privileged,” which drew a passionate (but tiny) audience on The CW. The trade paper gives no indication of which pilot would get first dibs on Garcia if they were both picked up.
Other TV credits for Garcia include “Welcome to the Captain” and “Reba.”

Tomorrow there is a new episode of “Privileged” airing. You can read the episode description below:
Megan (JoAnna Garcia) is surprised to hear that Charlie (Michael Cassidy) has been accepted to UCSD and is moving to California. She takes him out to celebration his good news, and he shocks her by kissing her and admitting he has been in love with her for years. When Megan tells Will (Brian Hallisay) what happened, he is so upset that he ruins Charlie’s goodbye party by confronting Charlie and starting a fist fight. Meanwhile, Rose (Lucy Kate Hale) is approached by Miles’ daughter, Elyse (guest star Elaine Hendrix), who reveals to Rose that Miles is the girls’ real grandfather. Sage (Ashley Newbrough) worries that Luis (guest star Ignacio Serricchio) will be disappointed that she is a virgin, but is surprised to learn that he is deeply religious and does not believe in pre-marital sex. Luis invites Sage to church, which brings up her grief about her parents death and leads to a startling confession. Kristina Apgar also stars. David Paymer directed the episode written by Jenny Lynn.

Hey everyone! My name is Audrey & I’ll be the new webmistress here. Samantha decided that she couldn’t keep up with this site anymore so she offered it to me. Thanks so much to Samantha!
I’m a huge JoAnna fan. I briefly had a fan site dedicated to her back in 2004 or 2005. Anyhow, I’ll be adding lots of new pictures to the gallery soon!
